The Canadian Hearing Society (CHS) provides services that enhance the independence of deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people, and that encourage prevention of hearing loss. The Canadian Hearing Society was incorporated in 1940 to impartially serve and support deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people, parents of deaf and hard of hearing children and to educate the hearing public.
The ATRC is an internationally recognized centre of expertise on barrier-free access to education technology. The ATRC promotes access to education for people with disabilities through leading edge research, development, education and direct service to clients of all ages. The ATRC partners with public and private sector developers of tomorrow's technology to ensure that barrier free access is a consideration in the initial design process.
The Centre for Learning Technologies (CLT) at Ryerson University was established in 1995 to promote, participate in, and provide leadership in research and technology-mediated learning activities.
